The approvals are complete and the inital artwork has been fine tuned! So, here it is...the final poster that everyone will begin to see in Spencer, Iowa....Lewisville, TX and probably many places in between!
The Iowa Lakes Community College soccer coaches learned a lot from our initial ride in 2011..."The Watermelon Ride." We are NOW preparing for an even better ride in 2011.
For the next six months, the Iowa Lakes Soccer Family will be working together to prepare for the ride and raise money for charity.
The coaching staff will depart on April 2, 2011 and arrive in Lewisville, Texas in time to play a major role in the Panda Cup Elite Soccer Tournament.
As for raising money, we will be raising money for United Cerebral Palsy and Iowa Lakes Soccer Scholarships IN HONOR OF NICKOLAS JAMES.
In future, blog entries we will introduce you to Nicholas James as well as provide information about United Cerebral Palsy as well as other organizations and events that we will work with for "Boot, Scoot & Pedal: The Trail to Texas."
In addition to working with United Cerebral Palsy...we will also be collecting as many stuffed animals as possible for Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. All stuffed animals will be delivered to Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas by the Iowa Lakes Community College soccer coaching staff and both soccer teams.
We are very excited about this upcoming 1000-mile bicycle ride...but, even more excited about all the people that we will be able to help along the way!
Get ready to lend a helping hand in any way you can to help us promote giving back to society.
